Introduction
Tianjin Lerentang Pharmaceutical Factory,
with a history of nearly 80 years, which was set up in 1921, is
one of the traditional Chinese medicine factories of large scale.
During nearly 80 years of development, lerentang has been noticed
for its unique prescriptions, excellent raw materials, quality products
with reliable curative effect, and its high credit. Lerentang covers
22,317 square meters, now has about 1000 employees. In 1998, its
total sales hits 100 million yuan with a profit of more than 10
million. In addition, the export value reached US$3 million.
More than 160 kinds of products of GREAT WALL BRAND are well sold
at home and abroad, and enjoy a high prestige. The traditional products
such as SEA HORSE GENITAL TONIC PILL, YANG YIN QING FEI SYRUP, and
quality products such as TIAN JIN GAN MAO PIAN, MAI LUO TONG, XING
NAO JIANG YA WAN are well accepted by customers. In 1981, TIAN JIN
GAN MAO PIAN got a national gold medal. YANG YIN QING FEI SYRUP
and GENG NIAN AN national silver medals respectively in 1983 and
1987. Besides, NIU HUANG SHANG QING PIAN, FU KANG NING, YANG XUE
AN SHEN PIAN have been titled "Quality Products" of Tianjin for
years.
Lerentang has rich science and technology strength, more than 140
skilled personnal in various fields. In recent years, the new products,
such as MAI LUO TONG, SEA HORSE GENITAL TONIC PILL and so on developed
by our technicians are well accepted by customers and the supply
falls short of demand. There are more than 20 products exported
to over 20 countries and regions including Hongkong, Southeast Asia
and Japan since 1950's, enjoying prestige in world market. SEA HORSE
GENITAL TONIC PILL and YANG YIN QING FEI SYRUP have become necessary
medicines in Japanese families. From 1990, lerentang was awarded
the certificate of GMP by Germany, Australia and Ministry of Sanitary,
that played a great role in opening European and American markets.
A new export base, which covers 56 mu, with the total investment
of nearly 100 million yuan , was finished in April 1995. There are
four product lines (pill, syrup, oral and infusion) among which
three were introduced from Germany and Italy. The new base is built
strictly after the international GMP standard. Now, all the traditional
medicines are manufactured in the new base. This is a fertile soil.
It is believed that lerentang will have a brighter future.
